„Circus Tree“ invites to performances of Finnish circus school and OMAtsirkus premiere
Circus students of Salpaus Education centre in Lahti, Finland will perform their graduation show „Resilience“ on Tuesday 9 August at 19:00 and on Wednesday 10 August at 20:00 in Kadriorg Park’s concert area circus tent. The show addresses reactions and changes going on in the minds of young people.
Terje Bernadt, artistic director of the festival says, that circus as a vocational education is quite possible and usual in Finland. „It is my dream that there would be circus education within one of our own universities,“ she adds.
„Circus Tree“ youth programme will close with Estonians’ production „Dr. Acula“, that will be performed by OMAtsirkus – a troupe that has been active since 13 years. „Dr. Acula“ will premiere on 12 August at 20:00 in the circus tent in Kadriorg Park. According to the director and choreographer Alissa Šnaider „Dr. Acula“ is an experience that stimulates the imagination. „It combines dance, physical theatre, music and circus offering magic and stunning tricks. The spectator will travel into a strange world believing the impossible. This is the magic of circus that carries us away and makes us forget everyday life.“
Both performances are suitable from age 12.
