Estonian animation at Istanbul film festival
In association with the Ministry of Culture and the Tallinn 2011 Foundation, Istanbul, the European Capital of Culture for 2010, will be recognising Estonia – or more precisely Estonian animation – as part of its annual international film festival: one of the sub-programmes of the festival, which is to be held from 3–18 April, bears the title "The world of animation: Estonia".

One part of the sub-programme focuses on the work of Priit Pärn, one of the country’s best known animated filmmakers, who will conduct master classes in Istanbul during his time as a guest of the festival. The following films have been selected for the festival programme to showcase Pärn’s work:
