Estonian animation at Istanbul film festival

Karl ja MarilynIn association with the Ministry of Culture and the Tallinn 2011 Foundation, Istanbul, the European Capital of Culture for 2010, will be recognising Estonia – or more precisely Estonian animation – as part of its annual international film festival: one of the sub-programmes of the festival, which is to be held from 3–18 April, bears the title "The world of animation: Estonia".

One part of the sub-programme focuses on the work of Priit Pärn, one of the country’s best known animated filmmakers, who will conduct master classes in Istanbul during his time as a guest of the festival. The following films have been selected for the festival programme to showcase Pärn’s work:
