European Capital of Culture invites to free concert Song of Freedom

Song of Freedom starts at 18:00 and ends after midnight. The gates of Song Festival Grounds will open at 17:00. Entry to the concert is free. There is a standing area in front of the stage as well as benches and lawn with free seating. People in wheelchairs have access to a special stand.

We recommend bringing mats or blankets for seating; in case of rain please bring raincoats instead of umbrellas. All trade at venue will accept cash only, there are a few ATMs and Swedbank’s bank bus on the spot.

We would like to remind you that there is no access with food and drinks, weapons, fireworks, alcohol, drugs, pets, bicycles, roller-skates, skateboards, large bags. Visibly drunken people will not be admitted. At Oru gate there is a free baggage room. Police recommends keeping an eye on your belongings at all times.
We recommend arriving with public transport or bicycles. At Mere gate European Capital of Culture will open a free bicycle parking lot from 16.45 to 01.00. Parking for disabled is located in front of the Mere gate. Public transport will be available until 01.00 am.

 

On 20th of August Narva Street will be closed for traffic between Russalka monument and Smuuli Street.

Youngsters under the age of 16 need to remember that without adult company they can stay in public until midnight during summer months. Police will keep an eye on under aged to avoid the use of alcohol and tobacco.

We recommend attaching to small children a sticker with parents’ contact details. Stickers can be picked up at European Capital of Culture info tents and lost and found point at Oru gate.
