Knit graffiti conquers Tallinn

Volunteers have been creatively knitting since October 2010 and finished 340 pieces of different sizes, colours and patterns.

The Knit Graffiti project was started by Tallinn City sports and youth department. Its aim is to add colour and originality to the city’s linear appearance. Hundreds of Estonian school students, teachers, volunteers, members of the Handicraft teachers association, Estonian Chamber of Disabled People and Association of Retirees have been involved in the knitting project.

Knit Graffiti is part of the programme of the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011.
