Korean and Brazilian theatres performing in Tallinn

„Story of Dallae“ will be performed on Sunday at 17.30 in Theatre NO99 and is suitable for children from age 7. A wordless play tells about a family struggling with war hardship. Actors and puppets on stage are supported by Korean traditional music and decorations. The play emphasizes family ties and empathy between the family members as principal values of life. Korean theatre can also be seen in the theatre programme of Tallinn Old Town Days on May 31st at 17.00 on Town Hall Square.

The Brazilian play „Almost Nothing“ will be performed on Tuesday, May 31st at 12.00 and 14.00 in Theatre NO99 and it is suitable for children from age 12. The intense and experimental staging that combines dance, performance as well as drama and puppet theatre takes viewers to the slums of Latin-American metropolis Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo and makes the audience aware of the gap between rich and poor worlds. The performance is in Portuguese.

 

 

In addition to Brazilian and Korean theatres also best children’s and youth theatres from Estonia and neighbouring countries – Latvia, Lithuania, Nordic countries, Russia and Germany will perform at the NB Festival. Altogether there will be more than 20 performances during five days that take place in two halls and cafe of Theatre NO99.
