Tallinn Music Week and Tallinn 2011 set off to music industry expedition in Berlin for Popkomm music trade fair and Berlin Festival
While Tallinn is holding the title of the European Capital of Culture for this year, we bring a taste of this special vibe to Berlin, when 7-9th September the Estonian Music & Design Café will be open to all Popkomm visitors, offering a relaxed setting for meetings on Estonian design furniture, carpets and pillows as well as an a ’la carte menu of Estonian music and a guided tour through Estonian music events, organizations and key players.
On Thursday, 8th September at 19:30 Tallinn Music Week will kick off a small festival in Berlin, by presenting 4 artists through the night – all of them success stories from the previous TMW festival – the wild and experimental prog rock-techno-freak-out ensemble Kreatiivmootor, winners of the TMW’s prestigious Skype Award 2011 Ewert & the Two Dragons, the guitar rockers Aides and sunny indie kids French Films from Finland.
Tallinn Music Week will be back 29-31 March 2012 to welcome you all to early springtime in Tallinn during three nights full of fantastic music in Tallinn’s best venues for the most demanding tastes: from world music and jazz to punk and electro, from classical music to metal and anything in between and two days full of music industry discussions – seminars, workshops and networking.
Tallinn Music Week, European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011 and Embassy of Estonia in Berlin invite you to join us:
