Tuned City discovers Space and Sound of Tallinn
Tuned City´s fringe-program offers exhibiton, screenings and presentations at MÄRZ Project Space, as well as a selection of site-specific projects and walks throughout the city space. Further, a variety of workshops will be offered in close collaboration with our partner Ptarmigan, a project space located in the Old Town. All workshops are free of charge. Please check out http://ptarmigan.ee/.
During the main program, a diverse programme of lectures, presentations, performances, installations, and site-specific projects will be offered to public. A fascinating cross-section of international artists, performers, scientists and thinkers will be brought together to present their approaches to sound and space. Further, Tuned City has invited four vibrant contemporary performers for a series of evening concerts. Charles Curtis, Charlemagne Palestine, Thomas Ankersmit and Maja S.K. Ratkje will address the topic of sound and space through four individual music performances. Each artist will play his/her instrument – the cello, the organ, the saxophone and voice – and engage in dialog with a variety of spaces, from the warm, wooden intimacy of a 14th century horse mill to the cold, concrete depth of Soviet-era industrial structures.
All events are free of charge except the evening concerts. For those you can buy tickets directly on the venue or online. Some of the site-specific projects require registration to keep the audience within a certain size. For further information please see www.tunedcity.net.
