Viru pedestrian tunnel design contest
The aim of the competition is to find works of art for the tunnel walls.
We are looking for works which enrich public space both visually and functionally, make the desolate tunnel more vibrant and cheerful, and also make it easier to orient in the pedestrian tunnel.
The contest begins today, on 19 January, and lasts for 4 weeks, until 15 February. The expected works should reflect the concept of urban space, or somehow relate to urban topics. The winners will be announced on 22 February and the art gallery in Viru tunnel will be opened in March 2011 at the latest.
